Chi Ife Productions specializes in production and event management. Chi Ife works with individual artists and organizations to produce exceptional shows and events worldwide. Production services include planning, organizing, management, staffing of the production,  fundraising, budgeting, and coordinating the various production departments. Event planning services include coordinating meetings and events, locating meeting space and servicing events.

Black Girl in Love Book Theatrical Tour

Position: Executive Producer

Event Date: September 2021 to August 2024

Synopsis: Chi Ife served as Executive Producer for the Black Girl in Love Tour with Trey Anthony Studios, supporting touring production operations and audience engagement.

2014 to 2018 Showcase Awards  
Showcase Group

Position: Chi Ife was the Producer of the first annual Showcase Awards.

Event Date: Multiple dates 

Synopsis: The Showcase Awards recognized twelve community heroes across five award categories, which were the Showcase Group “Pillars:” Prevention, Community Engagement, Inspiration, Facing Our Future, and Self-Actualization. Honorees included motivational speakers and activists such as Les Brown, Dr. Alduan Tartt, and Derrick Boazman. The event raised donations to fund Showcase Group's first group home initiative in Franklin, Ga.

Roots Lounge Live 
Alternate Roots 

Position: Chi Ife was the Line Producer of Roots Lounge Live, at Fuse Arts Center. 

Event Date: September 30th, 2014

Synopsis: During the Performing Arts Exchange Conference presented by South Arts, Alternate ROOTS invited artists, presenters, and Atlantans to an evening of performance and community dialogue about artists’ role in transforming our world.

'da Kink in My Hair 
Trey Anthony Studios

Position: Chi Ife was the Associate Producer of the hit musical production, 'da Kink in My Hair, at the Cobb Energy Center.  

Show Dates: September 2013

Synopsis: Trey Anthony's hit musical production and television series made its Atlanta debut at the Cobb Energy Center in September 2013. Set in a Caribbean hair salon in Toronto, ‘da Kink in my Hair gives voice to eight black women who tell their unforgettable stories in a kaleidoscope of drumming, singing and dance.

Wedlock of the Gods
Zulu Sofola Productions

Position: Chi Ife Productions was the producer for the Atlanta and US premier of the West African theatrical production, Wedlock of the Gods. 

Show Date: June 2013

Synopsis: Dr. Zulu Sofola’s popular and classic tale, Wedlock of the Gods, premiered at the Southwest Arts Center in June of 2013. Wedlock of the Gods is a romantic tragedy that is reminiscent of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Position: Chi Ife was the Producer Associate for Giwayen Mata's Dance Africa Atlanta Festival in Atlanta, GA

Show Dates: June 2013

Synopsis: Giwayen Mata presented the first Dance Africa Atlanta festival in Atlanta, GA in June 2013. Created by Chuck Davis, the Dance Africa festival is a celebration of dance and culture from the African Diaspora. The festival was first presented in New York and has since expanded to Washington, DC, Chicago, and most recently Atlanta.

Conversations with Cinderella  

Georgia State University 
TheaRadical Arts Collective 

Position: Chi Ife was the producer and co-writer of, Conversations with Cinderella, presented at Georgia State University.

Show Date: July 2012

Synopsis: Conversations with Cinderella was a workshop presentation of an African American version of Cinderella written by Chi Ife Okwumabua and Dr. Sharrell Luckett. The show was presented at Georgia State University in July 2012. In Conversations with Cinderella, multiple media was used to innovatively invite the audience further into the creative process and empower them to connect with the production through a talkback at the conclusion of the event. Audiences were engaged in an entertaining and educational experience that included film, musical production, cutting-edge choreography.
