




Chiwuzo Ife Okwumabua (Chi Ife) is a theater producer, musical theatre songwriter, creative writer, and arts professional committed to creating bold, culturally rooted work that uplifts communities and inspires social change. With experience spanning national and international stages, she has served as a show producer, production manager, composer, lyricist, and actress—bringing visionary projects to life with excellence, heart, and strategy.
Chi Ife has contributed to major productions and cultural events including Carnival Medea: A Bacchanal, which traveled to the 2015 International Collegiate Festival at the Edinburgh Fringe, and the Atlanta premiere of Trey Anthony’s hit musical ’da Kink in My Hair at the Cobb Energy Centre. She also produced the U.S. premiere of Dr. Zulu Sofola’s Wedlock of the Gods at the Southwest Arts Center, helping expand access to authentic African theatre in Atlanta. Her work includes collaborations with institutions and community partners such as Dance Africa Atlanta (Giwayen Mata African Dance Company) and Georgia State University at the Africa Atlanta Festival (Balzer Theatre).
Rooted in community-driven performance, Chi Ife has served as an events contractor for Soul Food Cypher since 2015. She expanded her touring experience as Executive Producer of the Black Girl in Love Tour with Trey Anthony Studios (2021–2024). In 2025, she joined Dominion Arts Foundation as Program Director helping to widen pathways for arts training and performance in underserved communities.
Chi Ife is also the creator, songwriter, and co-writer of A Song for Adaeze, an original Afro-Futurism musical influenced by West African and Black American cultural traditions, with featured presentations including the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival and the Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival.
She holds a diploma in Theatre Studies from Tri-Cities High School of Visual and Performing Arts, a B.B.A. in Marketing from Georgia State University, and a Master’s degree in Arts Administration from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD Atlanta).
